Unexpected peak torques as a result of starting-up a pump or compressor, stalling a motor, torsional vibrations of internal combustion engines can damage conventional transducers with limited capacity. Increasing the transducers capacity to combat overloading conventional transducers radically reduces the measuring accuracy. The dual capacity torque sensors have nominal measuring ratios of 1:10 and are available from a range of as low as 0.2 Nm up to and including 5,000 Nm. With the German DIN standard accuracy class of 0.1 All the transducers have built in electronics to process the measuring signal and give an immediate calibrated output of 0-10V.
